Dr Rod Kirkwood
Rod has sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Rod has been a partner for over 20 years. He has special interests in older persons health, skin cancer recognition and minor surgery.
Dr Julie Gilmore
Julie has sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Julie has been an associate at Hoon Hay from 2014. Her special interests are women’s and family health and well being.
Dr Sarah Hughes
Sarah has sessions on Monday am, Tuesday am and Thursday.
Sarah joined the medical centre as an associate in 2017. Her special interests are in skin cancer recognition, women’s health, gynaecology and paediatrics.
Dr Rose Sutherland
Rose currently has sessions on Monday afternoon and all day Wednesday.
Rose studied at Otago University and holds a post-graduate certificate in women’s health. She has worked in a hospital environment before embarking on a role in rural general practice.
Rose’s interests are women’s and children’s health. Rose grew up in North Canterbury and has recently returned to Christchurch to spend more time with her family. She enjoys outdoor pursuits which include skiing, netball and relaxes by reading and painting.
Dr Sian Cleaver
Sian has sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and am on Thursday.
Sian is a GP Registrar originally from the UK. She trained at Cardiff University, graduating with a Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery in 2019. She then worked as a hospital doctor in Wales for a few years before moving over to New Zealand – first to Whangarei, and then down to Christchurch. She is now happy to call Christchurch home. Outside of work she is a keen hiker, and fond of live music.
